You know Politics have Gone to Far when the Feds Show up!

When you wake up in the morning to Secret Service and Feds at your doorstep due to your political views, maybe you have taken politics too far! So was the case for Chad Morrisette from Hollywood, CA who apparently was hanging a mannequin of Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin from noose in his front yard! Now it was not to be mean or hateful it was a Halloween Decoration!

The secret service visited Chad’s home to make sure the display was not meant as a violent threat and according to Deputy Special Agent Wayne William

So far, he said, it seems to be a harmless — though unusual — display.
“We’re not treating it as a threat,” he told The Associated Press. “Halloween presents some interesting challenges for us with the masks and costumes.”

Chad’s Response was:

Morrisette said he has no plans to take down the effigy before Halloween. He said he and his partner, Mito Aviles, created it about three weeks ago but didn’t expect to cause such a stir.
“If it’s a political statement, it’s that (McCain’s and Palin’s) politics are scary to us,” Morrisette told The Los Angeles Times. “This is our palette and this is our venue of expression.”

But local officials in Chad’s town are not as nice as the Secret Service they have urged Chad to remove the Halloween display which also depicts John McCain surronded by flames coming out of chimney on his roof. As a matter of fact the Los Angeles Country Supervisor is investigating if this can be considered a hate crime? Are you kidding me come on a guy was having fun at all the crazy politics this year! Now I know it was probably not the most tasteful display but to list this as a Hate Crime when the Secret Service hadno problem with it?? I just don’t know what is your opinion??
