If you are anything like me, just getting dinner prepared and on time is a feat in itself, let alone having to search through my cabinet for a storage container with matching lid to save it. It never fails whenever I make something for dinner and have enough to save for left overs I can never ever find a matching lid. That is why I was so excited to try out the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids to see if they would be easier to use and find my ever elusive lid.

I found a 28 piece set of Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids at my local Walmart for an unbeatable price of $12.99. This is such a bargain especially in today’s tough economy and Rubbermaid has been a trusted product in my household for years. This set featured various sizes of square nesting bowls with matching maroon lids, what I really liked about the system was that it did not take up much room in my cabinet as you simply lock the lid to the bottom of the container for easy location.

The containers themself are pretty heavy duty plastic, which should be able to hold anything from chips to a hearty soup. Also the containers are see through which makes it so nice to simply look in the refrigerator and see what it is in each container without having to remove the lid to look inside. Another great feature of the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lids is that they are all Microwave, Freezer and also Dishwasher safe. Which makes is great if you want to pack a lunch to take to work and then simply just pop into the microwave to heat and eat.

After using the containers for several months and using them in the microwave and dishwasher both I am happy to report that they have not lost their shape, or melted or warped. They also have not discolored from my spagetti sauces or chilis which is a real plus, as that seems to be our biggest leftover.

If you are looking for a durable set of storage containers that will last through your family, the microwave,  and freezer I highly recommend purchasing the Rubbermaid Easy Find Lid containers. They are very reasonably priced, they use less storage than most storage systems, and with their easy to find lids it frees up so much more time in my kitchen without having to search for the right lid.
