    Hi Sonya,
    Honestly, I don’t know what the market is like for Primitives. When you say it’s slow, it could mean a number of things…

    1. Not enough traffic.
    2. Not a very good conversion. (Which means the visitors that you have aren’t buying.)

    So, without being able to look at your stats, I wouldn’t know what to advise you.
    If you’ve got the traffic, but they’re not buying, then changes are in order, for sure.
    If no traffic, then you wouldn’t know if it’ll work until you have more eyeballs looking at your site. :)

    Adding a mailing list can help you get in touch with potential customers, too.

    As for your leg vein question, that’s interesting. I’d say to look at Day #2 and use the keyword tool that I talk about in that post to see if people are actively searching for more information about that. Is it vericose or something else? Be sure to type in a variety of terms regarding it and you’ll get a good idea pretty quickly whether it’s something that people are actively searching for help with. Also, check clickbank.com and search google to see if there are products that you’d be able to sell on a site with that topic. If so, you may have yourself a nice little niche blog. If not, then back to the drawing board!

    I hope that helps!
    Nicole

    Hi Nicole
    I live in Mayberry(Andy Griffith’s hometown) and I do have the traffic in my store but it is still slow, My website has had 11,000 visitors but very few sales, one here and there.

    I do have vericose vanes which came from standing so long in one place. It can be dangerous.

    Thanks Sonya

    Hi NIcole,

    I have 2 Wordpress blogs that I just started over the past couple of months. I don’t really know what I’m doing but I’m learning along the way and having a great time.

    I do have a question for you. The other day on my gardening blog I had a person ask me if they could copy one of my posts to their blog. I haven’t answered yet. I wanted to get your thoughts and insight on this before I gave them a yes or no. What do you think? Is this a good idea to help get traffic to my fairly new blog or a bad idea because it could hurt in the SEO part due to duplicate content?

  4. MaryNo Gravatar says:

    Great info as always Nicole,

    My question is this. With CJ.com do you need to have an established website or blog with a bit of traffic or can you be an up and coming newbie?

  5. MaryNo Gravatar says:

    Hi Nicole,

    First I just want to thank you for giving away such great information. When I grow up I want to be just like you :)

    I have used PLR articles on my blogs. However, I used them as a jumping off point for information and my own thoughts and pretty much rewrote the whole article. I don’t think even the author would recognize it if I sent it to them. LOL

    I am looking forward to using some of your other ideas for content in the coming weeks and months. I was at Ladypens.com briefly, didn’t get a chance to look around very long. But I am definately looking forward to going back to see if they have any articles in my niches.

    Thanks again for all you do.

    Hey Nicole,

    You say that adding content and including promotions is a great start.. How will promotions get eyeballs on my blog if I don’t have any readers yet? I’m not afraid of hard work, I work 12 to 16 hour days already. Also, I love to talk, some might say I never shut up. :) When I write on my blog, do I need to always do an article or can I just talk about what is going on with my business as long as it is pretty relevent to the site subject?

    Also, is there anywhere to learn how to do youtube videos and blog talk radio shows? This granny has no clue.

    Thanks for another great article.

  7. I have started to see more success with affiliate marketing. Not anything major but I see the potential. I started out with Amazon too but am ready to start using other companies like Linkshare, etc. If I’m asked to do a review on a product a company wants to send me, I always look to see if I can monetize that either on Amazon or if they have an affiliate program. It’s been helpful to do that.

    Mary, not sure if you’re reading this but I would personally ask them if they would write up their own little piece about your blog post and then link back to that specific blog post using your keyword phrase.

  8. Great info, Nicole! I signed up for your Adsense course. Probably signed up a while ago but don’t remember. I want to add Adsense to some places on my website. I have one block on my blog but I need to work on placement and stuff so hopefully I’ll learn more about all that in your course. Fun!

  9. I learn something new every day! You are an amazing teacher, Nicole. I had no clue about the audios. I would like to one day step out of my comfort zone and do a product review via video. Sounds like something fun to put on my blog. Content is the part I have the most trouble with. I have a lot of PLR so I need to make it a point to get in there and use it.

    Thanks for more great tips.

  10. I’m the networker but i need to step out and do much more. Stats are one thing I haven’t grasped yet so that is something I need to dig into along with Adsense and see where traffic is coming from. Thanks for more great tips. Having fun on your blog tour.

    Hi Nicole,

    This is very timely information for me since I have just recently setup my very first Word Press Blog. I am a relatively new affiliate marketer and struggle to stay profitable.

    So I am off to read day 2,

    Hey Mary,

    That’s so weird. I replied to your Twitter DM, but it isn’t showing up.

    If the other site is related to yours (relevant, similar, complementary topic) and is one that you’d LIKE your article on, then yes, go ahead, although I’d send them a slightly different version (at least change the title). – And, of course make sure they’re linking to your blog.

    Hope that helps! And, keep up the great writing.

    Nicole

    Sonya,

    Sounds like you’re want to work on converting better on your store. Do you have a mentor who can help you with your ecommerce site? It’s very helpful if you can set up some testing to see what works. Otherwise, I’d just be guessing.

    Have you looked into this for advice? http://www.sparkplugging.com/ebay-ecommerce/

    Hope that helps!

    Hi Mary,

    The programs inside of CJ.com vary. Some will accept you automatically without even looking at your sites. Others will turn down the best of marketers, because of their own short-sightedness.

    Apply. If you get turned down, apply again later — or promote their competition! ;)

    Nicole

  15. NicoleDeanNo Gravatar says:

    Hey Mary,

    I’m not sure that I understand your question. I’m talking about promoting your blog so that you DO get readers (aka eyeballs). :)

    On your blog, you can talk about whatever you like. You’ll find by the responses whether your readers are enjoying it or if they’d prefer you stick to business.

    If you want to learn about Blog Talk Radio, go there and set up an account. Once you’re inside, they have really good tutorials.

    As for Youtube, it’s pretty easy. However, if you’re already doing well at other things – stay away from YouTube for now, until you’ve had success in other areas, so you don’t slow down your progress.

    Angie, you’re doing great! Are you a Shelancer? If so, I have a report in there about understanding your web stats. I’ll probably pull it and sell it separately one of these days. Seems a lot of people don’t understand their stats — or the gold mine in them! :)

    Thanks for commenting!
    Nicole

    I have an interesting recipe for some skillet biscuits that you and your families will enjoy. It comes with an Old Tyme Beef Stew recipe that goes well with the biscuits.

    Skillet Biscuits:

    For these you will need..

    * 2 tablespoons organic butter
    * 1 cup of organic buttermilk
    * 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
    * 1/2 teaspoon salt
    * 1 3/4 cups of organic flour
    * 1 tablespoon baking powder

    So for this, a 8-inch cast iron skillet is needed. Melt butter in skillet and pour off excess and set aside for later. In a small bowl stir soda into buttermilk. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add the dry mix to the buttermilk and stir until mixed well.

    Knead dough on floured board about 15 times. Press dough to 1-inch thickness. Cut with floured cutter, or you can use a floured cup or glass. Place biscuits in skillet and spoon remaining butter over the top of the biscuits.

    Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until biscuits are medium brown. Serve hot. Makes about 8 biscuits.

    Check out my blog for the stew recipe…..

    I am already subscribed to the newsletter. What I like most is how the lids and the bowl stack up together. My bowls are always a mess since they dont stack well. Plus they are so pretty a lot prettier than normal plastic bowls.

  19. Oh, that looks sooo good! Thanks for the recipe! I might have to try that for the fourth of July! :)
