Back in April, we had Cara Mirabella from The Household Helper as a guest on our show, and during our chat with her I challenged Angie to post pictures of our Messy Desks. Unfortunately we lost the original post when our site took a nosedive (lol), but I wanted to be sure to follow up on that and to show everyone my newly organized office space.

So here we go! The first image is my former messy desk *cringe*:

Talk about embarrassing! Oy! So, I decided that it was way past time to get some much needed organizing done, and following is the finished product:

So, what do you think? Ok.. so I cheated a bit and purchase a new desk But the good news is that I was still quite frugal about it. The desk system also came with a 2 drawer filing cabinet and a book shelf, and regular retail price brand new was almost $1000.00. I found it through one of my favorite sites (Kijiji) for just $350. And let me tell you it’s been worth every single penny! Granted, I happen to have enough room in my living room for a large office area, and that’s where my computer has always been.

Since setting up this new system, I also stopped at Staples/Business Depot and picked up more hanging file folders and file folders and have been working like mad to make sure that everything has it’s place.

So long Messy Desk! And I have to tell you, I sure don’t miss it
